I did a half marathon (20 Kilometers) on Sunday, May 20th. It was fun, you may hear more from me in regards to running, I may very well kick start my running career, and get some sponsorships very soon. Ok, so I'm not THAT good, but I was able to jump into the race with little training, and surprise myself. I guess after years of running in high school and college I still have some more races in me... so here I am running... it is not a very clear photo because I stole the picture from the website where they wanted me to spend $50 dollars for a picture.

 

I finished in 2 hours!

I know that all of you must be busy with preparations for the festival. I hope that you all enjoy the holiday with your family and freinds! I also wish you a prosperous and lucky New Year!

 

I am at work right now, but I plan on spending Chinese New Year with some good Chinese friends that I have met here in Denver. My friends are going to make Hot Pot (I haven't had hot pot in many many many months!) and eat a lot of of good food. Since I am an American I told them I would bring an American holiday dish, its a tradition in my family. The dish is a jello dish... made of jelly and fruit. So I guess the Spring Festival will be both Chinese and American! I am excited to spend some good time with my new friends. Have a wonderful holiday!

 

 

 

Well... I thought I should write a little update on my life.

 

I am working full-time, and I am enjoying the challenge of learning new things and meeting new people. I am an academic advisor for adult professional students. These students did not go to college as a traditional student but have decided to return to college as an adult. This job has new challenges, but I am so thankful that the job is the Education field. I enjoy being a part of changing people's lives every day, and education is a huge factor in changing people's perceptions, and opportunities in life.

 

I am living in Colorado, and we keep getting more and more snow. I am a California girl, and I am starting to miss the warm weather. But the snow is beautiful and I feel blessed that I can see the Rocky Mountains everyday. You know that I love the outdoors!

 

Well, I wish I had more to write, my life doesn't seem very exciting since I am now working full-time... maybe some of you can relate to the working life. It seems that every Friday night I am exhausted, and I need to go to sleep.

 

In case you are wondering I have not met Mr. Right yet... and that's ok. I am still trying to get settled into my life in this city.

I have uploaded some pictures for the Christmas season. Right now my brother and sister are asleep, they are very excited for tomorrow morning, when we will open many presents and eat a lot of good food. I hope that you are doing well, I always enjoy reading your emails. So keep in touch!
